Feel the sunshine on your skin and the soft southern wind. Smell the apple blossoms and lilacs, their fragrance carried to the North. Listen to the buzzing, the humming, the chirping, and stem plucking. See the colors and patterns, the flowers and green medicines waving in the wind. Taste the fruits, the cordials, the infused honeys and syrups. Notice the felt ancestral memory of planting, tending, and harvesting… medicine.

Saoirse’s garden design comes from a lifetime of living amongst the plants, studying them, singing to them, playing amongst them, and creating from them. She specializes in garden design that incorporates medicinal herbs, flowers, and fruiting plants. Her style is magical whimsical, useful, and nourishment centered.
Saoirse grew up on a hobby farm and always helped to tend the family gardens. She started her first gardening company, Elodan Fairy, when she was 18. She has experimented with multiple styles of gardening and farming and has farmed professionally since 2017. From hemp to cows, chickens, to native landscapes, she has had the opportunity to learn from it all.

During the farm season of 2022, Saoirse was a project farm manager at Wild Child Farms in Boulder, CO. There she developed strategies for growing medicinal herbs, flowers, and fruit in a way that regenerates soil, retains water, and fights weed infiltration. Saoirse is also certified in Permaculture Design and offers designs in Boulder and surrounding areas.

Saoirse’s specialization is designing medicinal herb gardens with flowers and fruits. She also teaches a variety of wildcrafting and culinary medicine making classes (public and privates available). Saoirse creates garden designs that are both wild and cultivated, and loves to find ways to incorporate little mystical/whimsical areas such as sunflower domes, pea spirals, and pumpkin trellises.
